Pogoplug E02 can't boot Debian
February 11, 2014 11:48AM
Hello guys. My pogoplug E02 arrived today and I tried to install debian using dockstar.debian-squeeze.sh script. After the installation (with no errors apparently) it asks to me to reboot but after I click yes I can't see it in my router's attached devices list. I tried also the hard reboot unplugging the power cable but I can't manage it to work. I followed this instructions on this blog http://blog.vinnymac.org/?p=11 ..
I use a 4Gb usb pendrive
Disk /dev/sda: 4007 MB, 4007657472 bytes
124 heads, 62 sectors/track, 1018 cylinders, total 7827456 sectors
Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x0003c62e

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 62 6842319 3421129 83 Linux
/dev/sda2 6842320 7826383 492032 82 Linux swap / Solaris
After installation the boot folder seems ok, it contains both uImage and uInitrd.
Hope you can help me. Thanks in advance, regards.
Marco

I tried also to give the following commands found here :
./mkimage -A arm -O linux -T kernel -C none -a 0x00008000 -e 0x00008000 -n Linux-2.6.32-5-kirkwood -d ../../boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-5-kirkwood ../../boot/uImage

./mkimage -A arm -O linux -T ramdisk -C gzip -a 0x00000000 -e 0x00000000 -n initramfs-2.6.32-5-kirkwood -d ../../boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-5-kirkwood ../../boot/uInitrd

unfortunately without success. Any idea?

Download the latest rootfs, put it on another USB stick, and boot with it:

After booting into Debian successfully, you can continue using this rootfs, or mount your stick, examine, and fix it.
