Hi,

I changed my boot envs in order to make my pogoplug e02 boot from the os usbstick even if another data hdd is connected next to it and now i cant boot into debian (os usbstick).
I made a backup of the envs but smart as I am I overwrote it....

here are the envs:

jfyi: the same happens when I make a fresh install of debian squeeze on a clean usb stick.

schumischumi,

Your U-Boot envs look OK. Have you tried checking your USB rootfs for error ? (using a different Linux box and fsck it).

I'm quite sure it isn't the system on the usb-stick, cause I took a brand-new usb-stick today and installed dockstar.debian-lenny on it.
The installation went fine, but after the reboot nothing happens.
I have to install lenny und upgrade to squeeze, cause i always get errors because of the readonly filesystem, if I use the kirkwood wheezy script. even if I remount root.

edit: funny thing. netcat says the fresh usb-stick has a bad ext2 partition or disk....

When you see this:
OK
Starting kernel ...
and then it stuck there, most likely the problem is with either the bootargs or the rootfs on the USB stick.

cant believe it... the usbstick was broken by factory (sandisk 16gb "read-only error"). in the meantime I was able to restore an old image on the old usb stick and it is booting...

it seams you were right from the start. the usbstick and/or the os on the stick were broken.... thx for your help
