NSA320 How to control onboard buzzer?
August 03, 2015 10:37AM
Hello,
i want to control the onboard buzzer of a nsa320 , maybe by echoing stuff into a file under /sys/class/whatever.
the purpose is to have an audible feedback in the event of a major malfunction(like overtemperature , fan failure, smartctl etc.)

By googling "nsa320 buzzer", i found in this post

http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/arch/arm/boot/dts/kirkwood-nsa320.dts

on line 110 that there is a compatibility issue between driver and hardware.
Does this apply to the current latest kernel too?

if not, what do i have to echo to which file to switch on/off the beeper?

Hi Dirk,

Please don't double post!

But while you are at this, could you verify that the NSA320 uses the Ethernet chip 88E1318 ?

Sorry, i saw right after posting, that i posted in the wrong category.
I found options to edit my post, but not to delete it completely.

My NSA320 uses a network chip right next to the magnetics:
