Setup rootfs - chroot?
June 08, 2016 07:02AM
Hi

I want to setup a rootfs and use it for remote booting a pogoplug. I have to install a few additional packages and would like to know if I can do this on my Linux PC via chroot, which would be an advantage (speed being one) or do I have to do it the old fashioned way on the pogoplug?

Thanks,

Rainer

its possible to do if your chroot envirinment is configured as the same architecture as the one you intend to use. elsewise you will be installing x86/64 architecture or whatever instead of armeabi

OK - thanks. I have seen a HOWTO to setup a chroot environment here.

Thanks,

Rainer
