Pogoplug Pro dlna not working - ideas?
November 29, 2016 02:29AM
Hi - I am running the 2015 uboot and bodhi's wheezy rootfs with the 4.1 kernel.

I've tried minidlna and mediatomb. In both cases the web interface works, files are indexed successfully, but in both cases I can't see the server on my receivers (tried android phone and windows box running Kodi).

I have an unraid server and if I run minidlna on that all works, so my LAN and router must be OK.

I installed ufw and disabled the firewall with no effect.

Any idea why the pogoplug isn't showing up as server?

Thanks!

Thanks for the response. I just checked and avahi-daemon is already installed and up to date.

Any other ideas? I just rebooted in case that would help, but again the web interface works but the server is not visible on any devices.

just read this, been ill and not on the forums of late.

when you installed the packages did you also use the " --install-recommends " switch when using apt? I find this seems to cover off a multitiude of problemettes.

also have you configured the avahi-daemon and minidlna to autostart when the system boots?

have you told minidlna, in the config file where to look and what types of files are in folders?

does minidlna service account actually have the permissions to read the files/folders that you wish to share?

try again using this set of instructions as you base.

Hi - Install-recommends seems to have done the trick

I'll play around with it and let you know if I run into further issues

Thanks!

Sincerely hope it's nothing serious :)
