usb drive corrupted, as well as uboot?

I'm relatively new to this "game" so thanks for following along.

I have a dockstart that had previously been sucessfully running jeff's uboot and debian. I've been able to resurrect a bricked unit before via a serial cable, but this one has me stumped. I've been following directions to restore the original u-boot, with the instructions here: http://www.plugapps.com/index.php5?title=Hardware:_Seagate_DockStar_Reflashing

Everything seems to be normal until I try the "nand write.e 0x800000 0x100000 0x1e30f0" which returns with:

NAND write: device 0 offset 0x100000, size 0x1e30f0
Attempt to write non page aligned data
1978608 bytes written: ERROR

When I do a restart with the serial cable, here's what I get:

U-Boot 2010.06-00695-gbd23130-dirty (Aug 30 2010 - 23:04:56)

Thanks again for all your help!

You can't use Jeff's new boot loader to recover Dockstar Linux. You need original U-Boot.

That link is for recovering original Dockstar linux, not U-Boot.

Ok that makes sense, but that brings me to another question. Since all I have is the "Marvel" prompt, I don't have access to wget. I thought that was a requirement to use Jeff's U-boot

If you have serial cable to access u-boot., you may be able to use tfpt to install original U-boot.
I used Jtag to install original U-boot and then used serial cable to re-flash DockStart linux, from there I used Jeff's scsript to install Jeff's U-boot and Debian on flash.

You may want to check this link (the last few posts):

Where did you get your serial cable ?

I have a Dockstar that won't boot (bricked I think) and not probably capable of making one myself.

Any advice?

Meant "bricked"
