u-boot does not recognize my SanDisk SSD correctly
July 20, 2012 05:38PM
I just installed Debian with Jeff's script (i suppose i have the newest u-boot)

I have a SanDisk 64GB SSD installed in my GoFlexNet, if I type 'ide reset' in u-boot by a serial connection, I get this answer:
GoFlexNet> ide reset

Reset IDE: Bus 0: not available Bus 1: OK
  Device 1: Model: ???????????????????? Firm: ???? Ser#: ??????????
            Type: Hard Disk
            Supports 48-bit addressing
            Capacity: 524263.9 MB = 511.9 GB (1073692671 x 512)
IDE read: device 1 not ready
IDE read: device 1 not ready
GoFlexNet>
The capacity shown is obviously wrong, booting from SSD fails?

If I boot with davygravy's 3.3.2 kernel on my USB stick, everything is fine and I have full access to my SSD

I guess I need another u-boot image?

Edit:
My u-boot is:
U-Boot 2011.12 (Apr 18 2012 - 23:08:20)
Seagate GoFlexNet
