What ive been doing the last 6 months

Not been doing much on the hacking side of things for a while (well if you discount doing some packaging for another site). Have spent many a happy time in the garage playing with sockets and assorted tools. 6 ton press being my current favourite. sure makes easy work of engine rebuilds :))

what you all been upto?

Out in the shop too, though not a proper garage. Trying to make acoustics panels both to tame my behemoth desktop computer's noise as well as have a slight edge recording if i ever get new guitar strings.

-edit rant about rich neighbors who want free work done on their computers while they do everything that causes it and aren't the kind of people I volunteered to help for 15 years.

been there, done that - with my neighbours now i operate a barter system - no money changes hands - only time or there skills for mine.

Me too @ Gravelrash, I looked it up but don't know how that helps with engine rebuilds

@jeoy and @habibe - the press makes short work of removing and inserting bearings and seals.

That is a nice and simple press.

That press looks incredibly useful - I can relate to the $60 drill press I bought years ago - rarely do I use it and fail to thank the children of China for crafting it.

Attached is another hobby, basic image creativity. I was getting tired of the same old Lincoln picture and thought to help with his attitude. :-D One could argue I failed to take down the lighter peaks of the teeth - but art being art, maybe Abe was into bling.
