In case you've been wondering.

The basic rootfs that I've relased for Marvell MVEBU boxes:

can also be used in other small boards that have armv7 hardfloat such as rPi, ODROID,...

But you will need to install the kernel for that box, which would be available from respective community. The pre-installed kernel in this rootfs is for the Marvell Armada SoC series.

Usually, people just use the ready-made rootfs from those communities. However, there is nothing prevent one to find a bare-bone armhf rootfs that they feel comfortable with and use that to build their own Debian OS from the ground up.
