So Ray made a reference to freedombox in this thread http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?8,30937,33583,page=8#msg-33583 that got me reading about tinc VPN.
And then I started to dig further and found some more https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/10/04/noobs-guide-mesh-networking/.
Does anyone have first hand experience with any of these or other mesh networks that they would recommend or suggest to stay away from?
