Benchmarks

Are there any benchmark programs out there that we can use to compare the speed of some of these devices we play with? I am intrigued by the Alwinner A10's but would like a general idea of how much faster it is than some of the other devices. Also I am interested in how these perform while using an HD vs USB stick vs SD card.

I think a nice comparison would be helpful for all, we just need to decide on a nice accurate benchmark(s) that can measure a few of the things we would all be interested in knowing about the performance of.

Going to post a few things and edit this post as I find them...

My hardware: GoFlex Net with Squeezeplug running on usb stick and 2.5" WD Black 500GB connected to sata port as slave drive. My slave drive is formatted with one large ext2 partition.

Transfers over gigabit ethernet lan to a pc using ftp/samba: Uploading 3.63 GB file from pc to goflex: 80 seconds (~45 MB/s average). Downloading 3.63GB file from goflex to pc: 72 seconds (~50 MB/s average).

Can anyone tell me what transfer rates the goflex net can acheive when in RAID mode? I'm reading up on mdadm as we speak... :)
