Did Medion reply or do they just wanted to change your device as in my case?by helge - Debian

My Medion NAS never booted with any but stock kernel ;) We got stuck at the exact same point... He may run into the same problems, because he has the exact same board as Medion MD86783. hi jonrv, sad to hear that. But atleast you were so brave to flash a new uboot. Now we know it doesnt work :) I have an untested nandbackup of mtd0,1 and 2, so hopefully you should be able to restore your u-boot. I'll post links, after i found my notebook.by helge - Debian

hi bodhi, hi pengu, i confirm that the device won't boot with the mentioned DTB. As always without a response. @pengu Have you seen the "strange" broadcasts the Medion NAS does while in Recovery? Its shouting "Hail dictator-of-germany-'till-1945"... in my network oOby helge - Debian

Hi bodhi, >Is there a suport website where you can look for u-boot source code? or perhaps request it from the manufacturer? there is just a manual and a reset tool. Nope there is no connectivity. But i found something near 0004f0a0 . I haven't seen this arguments in stock medion uboot nor after i did a resetenv. bodhi, nope doesn't show up in my router nor in wireshark - with usb_boot if i just let it run start (with bootcmd=tftpload...) and provide our uImage it seems to get further, because the nas appears in the router. Namme^ip^mac PC-10-0-0-30 10.0.0.30 00:50:43:00:02:02by helge - Debian

HI bodhi, i know its just a bunch of rpm's. But atleast theyr source packages. packages with 'oe' in the name seem to be modified. Hi bodhi, thanks for your endurance with me. I got one of my other sticks working (Intenso). run_usb start loads the files from usb stick. after that i try running bootm 0x800000 0x1100000 The system freezes one more time though and sets arcnumber=14 $(mtdparts) is not set.
