Hi This forum as helped me a lot while I was playing with Pogoplugs, but now I moved on to other devices. As a thank you, I have the following gear to give away for free: 2 Pogoplugs E02, 1 GoFlex Net, 1 Netgeaar WN2500RP and 1 Netgear WNDR 3400 One of the Netgear devices needs re-flashing. I am living in Switzerland, and I would pay for the shipping within Switzerland or witby rkrug - Off-Topic
Stupid me - I used /boot/kirkwood-pogo_e02.dtb instead of /boot/dts/kirkwood-pogo_e02.dtb I copied the file to /boot and it is booting now. Changed it to fw_setenv dtb_file '/boot/dts/kirkwood-pogo_e02.dtb' Now to install the rescue system. Thanks, Rainerby rkrug - Debian
Hi after some tiome I decided to resurrect my Pogoplug E02 but I don't manage to boot it. i had a rescue system on it, so I used a serial console to update the uboot, which has been successful: U-Boot 2017.07-tld-1 (Sep 05 2017 - 00:13:18 -0700) Pogo E02 SoC: Kirkwood 88F6281_A0 DRAM: 256 MiB WARNING: Caches not enabled NAND: 128 MiB In: serial Out: serial Err: serby rkrug - Debian

Hi I an using a CP2102 USB to UART bridge, and it connects correctly. I am using "serial" on my mac, but something is wrong with the encoding (?) as I get the following: U-B⎺⎺├ 2011.12 (F␊␉ 20 2012 - 21:21:59) P⎺±⎺⎻┌┤± E02 S⎺C: K␋⎼┐┬⎺⎺␍ 88F6281_A0 DRAM: 256 M␋B WARNING: C▒␌␊⎽ ┼⎺├ ␊┼▒␉┌␊␍ NAND: 1by rkrug - uBoot
My use case: no, as LMS runs on roots and stores it's data there as well. Use case roots for booting only and data storage from other device: I am with @gravelrash. Regular reboots: also usb 3 for rootfs So it all depends on the usage scenario - but interesting discussion!by rkrug - Off-Topic
@bodhi Thanks for the info.by rkrug - Off-Topic
There are applications (like Logitech Media Server) which have a database and cache on the rootfs - so a fast rootfs (as in my case) makes sense for me and improves performance of the whole system. And this could be true for many applications with caches on the drive.I could obviously mount the path from another drive, but that would add complications and complexity which is easily avoided usingby rkrug - Off-Topic
@bodhi Thanks - I get root@lms:~# grep -a --null-data U-Boot /dev/mtd0ro U-Boot 2011.12 (Feb 20 2012 - 21:21:59) Pogoplug E02U-Boot ** Invalid partition type "%.32s" (expect "U-Boot") U-Boot BUG at %s:%d! Are these the errors you refer to?by rkrug - uBoot

Hi Which one is the newest recommended Rescue System for a Pogoplug E02? Is there any way of identifying the version of the installed Rescue System? Thanks, Rainerby rkrug - Rescue System
Simple question: how can I find out which version of uBoot I am using? I lost track which Pogolug has which version and have forgotten if I installed the new version. Thanks, Rainerby rkrug - uBoot

I am more than impressed - I am flabbergasted!!!!!! I just replaced Transcend USB 2.0 16GB Flash drive with a SanDisk Ultra Fit 16 GB USB Flash Drive USB 3.0 bis zu 130MB/s and my little Pogoplug E02 with Logitech Media Server is FLYING!!!!!! Thanks people for recommending this little wonder USB drive!!! Rainerby rkrug - Off-Topic

Any experiences with these type of enclosures? I read hdd killing stories (several) on amazon reviews of the HornetTek bays. So I want to know: are they working? Reliably? I don't feel like putting my hdd with data into enclosures which have a habit of eating data...by rkrug - Off-Topic
Thanks - I want to connect it via USB 3 port at the moment (later via sata to my GoFlex Net) so that one would not work - but good to know. I am looking for something like this but preferably cheaper. Rainerby rkrug - Off-Topic
Hi I am looking for a housing for 4 or more 3.5 sata discs (2 X WD purple, 5TB and one 1TB at the moment). It should have usb 3 out, preferably east / sata as well. I don't need any raid stuff, as I will use snap raid and mergers for these discs. At the moment I am using separate USB 3 (and USB 2) housings and a USB hub, but would .liuke to consolidate this setup. Any suggestiby rkrug - Off-Topic

Hi The rootfs flash drives from one of my Pogoplug E02 gave up and I think this might be the perfect time to try the new Installer script. I glanced over the thread relating to the script, but could not find any howto to test it? Is it in a state so that I can use it? What are the risks? How can I use the script? Thanks Rainerby rkrug - uBoot
Thanks - that was it.by rkrug - Debian
@bodhi You mentioned somewhere that you mount additional drives at the end of the booting using a script. Which sccript was this? I =remember vaguely it had to do with the init.d? Can anybody point me into the right direction? Thanks, Rainerby rkrug - Debian
Sounds interesting and I thought along the same lines already for some time - but than do it with solar probably. Please keep me here posted, Rainerby rkrug - Off-Topic
