Zyxel 325v2

Hello, I'm currently trying to reinstall my Zyxel 325v2 with Debian and am following these instructions: https://forum.doozan.com/read.php?3,12381 Unfortunately, I don't have flash_erase /dev/mtd0 0 4, only flash_eraseall, and that probably wouldn't work. I can't reinstall it either because my kernel is too old. What can I do?

another option is: get yourself a serial ttl level converter (just a few bucks) and 3 jumper cables and flash via serial console. this is quiet easy and here well documented.

I mentioned this in the u-boot installation instruction, you've probably missed it:

Quote

A. Flashing Instruction:
......

If you are running kernel that do not provide mtd-utils and uboot-tools (fw_setenv, fw_printenv, flash_erase, nandwrite), you can download the NAND and U-Boot tools binaries here in this thread.
https://forum.doozan.com/read.php?3,27280

Quote

While in stock OS, you can download the following binpack so that the normal tools for use in nand installation will be available in the system. Since Dropbox use https, you can download it to an USB stick on another Linux box and copy this tarball to the stock OS (I'll upload this to my available storage here so stock wget can be used, when I can).
Dowload at Dropbox
This binpack contains these files:
tools/busybox
tools/e2fsck
tools/nanddump
tools/fw_printenv
tools/flash_erase
tools/nandwrite
