Iomega Lenovo EZ Media & Backup not detecting disk?

Hi,

It seems my EZ media & backup is not detecting the disk (changing a dead 1TB drive for a new 2TB one).

I see this in the serial ttl:

But nothing I don't see the SATA drive...

Any ideas what could be happening? is the motherboard dead?

BTW, I already formatted the drive, partitioned and installed the "Debian-5.2.9-kirkwood-tld-1-rootfs-bodhi" on it.

Did you format it as EXT3?

Interrupt serial console here

Hit any key to stop autoboot: 0
And

ide reset
And please post the entire serial console log here.

It's ext3 formatted.

The console log:

No luck.

In other posts I see it detects the hard drive after the "Integrated Sata device found" message.

Is my board dead?

Try removing the HDD and reinsert.

=======

Even if the SATA port is dead (some pins got crushed, for example), you can still boot with USB rootfs. IIRC, This box u-boot does not activate USB, is that correct?

Try plug in a USB drive and

usb reset

As the last resort, you can load the kernel files using tftp, and boot into USB rootfs.
