Running off SATA HD. Is there a reason to avoid running syslog? I'm having to troubleshoot a lot of things as I make this system more and more functional, so it would be mighty handy to have. This is the first *nix system I've used that didn't "come with" syslog, so I'm wondering if there is a specific reason to not use. My guess is that it doesn't make sense for USB sticks...?
