Slow copying files to GoFlex over NFS

I'm currently only getting only 4MBps when copying files from my iMac to my goflex, but I'm getting 24 MBps copying from my Goflex to my iMac

iMac running Lion on 4TB SATA
Root partition: HFSplus journaled. Data partition : HFSplus journaled
NFS mount options : resvport intr soft rsize=32768 wsize=32768 locallocks nolocks

Goflex Home running Wheezy on 4TB SATA
Root partition: ext3. Data partition: ext4
NFS export options: rw,sync,no_subtree_check

try mounting with noatime.

A newer kernel will probably fast up too. Specially as ext4 made some progress.
With older kernels vfat or ext2 are much faster than ext4.

my Goflex Net has a self compiled kernel 3.8.2 with bfq-scheduler.
My 1TB Hdd uses ext4 and achieves about 8Mb/s over samba on write.
My 4x3TB Raid5 (over one sata port multiplier) with ext4 achieves about 10MB/s on write.
Reading is of course much faster.

But the most speedup seems to be achieved by the bfq-scheduler, and on encrypted disks the cryptodev.

If you want i can upload a newer kernel here in the forum, but as I'm using a goflex net, i can't test it.

Yes, please upload your kernel.
