Hi,

does anybody know about a big endian image for a dockstar ? I do have a binary
which is in big endian format - I can't change it because the source code is none public.

Regards

Ummm, it doesn't make sense: this is NOT a big endian hardware!

Please read this first -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endianness

Thx for your response.
As far as I know the Kirkwood can operate in both big and little endian mode ...

Wow, I didn't know. But, anyways, seems that is not supported by the kernel --> http://lists.infradead.org/pipermail/linux-arm-kernel/2011-April/049270.html

Big Endian seems to be outdated, but the SheevaPlug Development Kit Doc is talking about a big endian patch:

http://read.pudn.com/downloads153/doc/676077/SheevaPlug_DocumentationPackage/SheevaPlug%20Development%20Kit%20-%20Configuring%20the%20kernel%20with%20LSP%20for%20KW%28A0%29based%20device-Rev1.0.pdf

11. Apply the big endian patch ‘0001_gw_BE_fix.patch’ and check for any errors. If
none, proceed to the next step.
~/SheevaPlug /linux-feroceon_4_2_7_KW# patch –p1 < 0001_gw_BE_fix.patch

But I can't find this file .... Does anybody have this patch ?
