Just installed on two Pogo E02 and two GoFlexNet's.
Many thanks for keeping these devices alive :-)

P.S.: The Pogo's are my digital VDR's with SAT>IP, the GoFlexNet acts as a small network server for storing recorded TV, scans from my network scanner etc.

Thank you very much! :-) I still update my LG N1T1 NAS with new Kirkwood versions, and it works great! I have it off location and every night it opens a VPN connection to my home and make a backup of new documents, photos and other important files. Thanks for your work! <3

Thanks for the great work you have done. I just successfully turn my long bricked pogoplug v4 back to life.

But I do notice one thing. Unlike the old kernel, on these new kernel the BogoMIPS seems always be 333.33. Is that normal? The frequency info from sysfs looks alright though.

Cool!

BogoMIPS has been unreliable for a long time. I don't think BogoMIPS is maintained anymore. I remmember a few years ago I had a patch to correct that (for SMP) but decided not to add it into the kernel.

yuko1225,

That reminded me, do you have cpufrequtils package install? that would be much more accurate to see the CPU clock.

Thanks for the reply.
cpufrequtils 008: cpufreq-info (C) Dominik Brodowski 2004-2009
Report errors and bugs to cpufreq@vger.kernel.org, please.

CPUs which need to have their frequency coordinated by software: 0
  maximum transition latency: 5.0 us.
  hardware limits: 200 MHz - 800 MHz
available frequency steps: 800 MHz, 200 MHz
available cpufreq governors: powersave, ondemand, conservative, userspace, performance
current policy: frequency should be within 200 MHz and 800 MHz.

                  within this range.
current CPU frequency is 800 MHz (asserted by call to hardware).
It's looks fine. And I find a thread about it.

Hello bodhi,

Could you please look at this issue?
https://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,18152,51209#msg-51209

It still produce exact same error on building the kernel module, even with the latest rootfs and latest kernel&header files. I'm not sure if that's the module's issue or headers issue.

The module that pre-build by TheFeaR is for 5.1 which is not the latest kernel now...

Thanks!

Hi,

I got a NewIT Sheevaplug a long time ago which was working 24/7 the last 5 years or so... until I decided I wanted to upgrade the kernel to a more recent version:-)

So I upgraded my U-Boot from the 2011 version to 2017.07 version, which worked well....

But neverhteless my old debian was not booting any more... So I started over, especially because all environment dumps where on the old SD Card, with a complete new 128 GB new SD Card and dumped the 5.2.9 Kernel and rootfs on it - But it cannot find the roofs... it seems...:

Since after the U-Boot flash all environment variables where gone (whyever..) I tried to set the following, but that does not really work and I don't see why...

The rootfs partition is ext4 and labeleld "rootfs" accordingly. I am booting from the SD CArd Slot - so maybe there is the caveat - but I thought switching to mmc and naming the partition correctly should be okay?

Thank you very much for your work and help!

Hi again...

my fault.... 'better obey the "skip this step..." then it is working wonderfully...:-)

" Create uImage with embedded DTB for booting with older u-boots (2012 or earlier). *** Skip this step *** if you have installed the latest U-Boot for Kirkwood (or are installing this u-boot at the same time)."

Thanks for your work! keep it up! :-)

Cheers

I can confirm the newest kernel release solves the build issues some were having with kernel modules. You no longer have to symlink the header files to get them to compile. Thanks for all your hard work Bodhi, it's very much appreciated!

Just upgraded to kernel 5.4.2 on my Pogo-E02 and GoFlex-Net from kernel 5.1.1.
Very nice - got the impression that reading files is faster :-)

Thanks for the ongoing support, bodhi!

Hey Bodhi!

First of all: Thank you for all your work here!

I just updatet successful the u-boot on my dockstar, and booted into the rootfs as described in the 25 Aug 2019 section.
But before I changed anything I stopped my live Debian, from which I worked to go further with putty on my windows.
When I now connect to the device, it wants to have a root password which I didn't set so far. :/
Are there any default values, so I can login and put my fresh keys on it?

Update:
OKAAAY! root / root was not sooooo hard to guess... :D
Everything works perfect! :)

Thanks in advance!
Kalle

bodhi,

My verification of the downloaded file is showing that the checksums failed because they do not match. Can you please verify this or have I done something wrong?

Thanks
