Pogoplug v2 hang at booting debian squeeze at "NET: Registered protocol family 10"

Posted by basti523
Hi,

i have installed on my Pogoplug Archlinux first and it boots up fine. Then i installed the Rescue System from here "https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1015928/Kirkwood/rescue/RescueV2.8.2-10292012.tar.gz"; and it works fine.

Then i would give debian a try. In Installed the squeeze Version from here "http://dev.shyd.de/dockstar/dockstar.debian-squeeze.sh"; on a USB Stick.
It installed without errors. On reboot, netcat is showing the following output:

For me, this looks all right!?

After waiting 5 Minutes, no ip is showed up in my router (dhcp). I can not ping the ip for my pogo and no ssh login.

I put the San Disk Cruzer Micro USB stick 2GB (arch boots up from it and other people mentioned it should work) into a virtual linux system and look into the /var/log/dmesg of the USB stick.

I do not know where could be a problem. I found this "topic" but in the fstab i cant see any wrong code:

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
/dev/root / ext2 noatime,errors=remount-ro 0 1
/dev/sda2 none swap sw 0 0

uname -a on the pogoplug rescue system shows:
Linux rescue 3.3.2-kirkwide #1 Mon Oct 29 17:52:07 CDT 2012 armv5tel GNU/Linux

what can i do?
I have completely the same issue. My debian also just hangs after:

ET: Registered protocol family 10

No IP on my router and no ssh :( nc just ends at:

Starting kernel ...

I've tried reinstalling uBoot but still the same issue. Any ideas??

/Termo
Got it working.

I reformated the flash in Gparted on Ubuntu and then it installed and ran fine - don't know what caused the issue :/
