Negative temperature and LEDs for NSA310

Hi all,

I have two issues I am trying to figure out with setting up NSA310 after loading debian.

1. the package lm-sensors was installed to check the temperatures with the 'sensors' command. This reports negative temps! Also, 5V and 12V are incorrect:

(fan1 [the one in the back of NSA310] is not running due to fancontrol settings I applied)
Is that a know problem? Can it be fixed?


2. the LED labeled SYS is constantly on (which is ok) but the one labeled HDD is always off, even when forcing activity. Can it be enabled?

Do:

ls -l /sys/class/led*

And see the LED names for you box. And then use the example in /etc/rc.local to set the LEDs.

The trigger you want to set is ide-disk1. This trigger will make the HDD blink when there is HDD activity.

Regard number 1. There are 3 models of the NSA310 boxes.

Check your bootlog to see which sensor module is in it.

Hi bodhi,

thanks for the tip, but the link describes what I did, too. I dunno why my sensor is reporting these values, but I would guess there is an offset somewhere that could be defined to shift the values to more realistic values.
For now I have created fancontrol settings that seem to work...
