Booting with external usb enclosure and usb printer attached

I can/could get squeeze to boot fine with just the OS usb stick attached. I was attempting to make it a NAS and print server. It won't boot with the other ports occupied. Found this out by process of elimination. Now with all the reboots it won't boot to squeeze with JUST the OS usb stick attached. I can view netconsole just fine. Here's its output.

It looks like the usb stick partition is corrupt. I have attached it after booting into pogo and used "shutdown -rF now" to fsck but with no luck.
Any suggestions?
