Has anybody tried to power a 3.5" SATA hard drive from the SATA port of the Goflex Net? My 2.5" drive works without issues but with the same connector, uboot cannot detect the larger size drive. Seems like the SATA connector doesn't supply 12V?
I have 2 3.5" drives attached to SATA and neither power up without an externa power supply. I have just modified an ATX supply to be always on using the bench power supply tutorals from google. I find this works well.
