Debootstrap aborted while installing to Pogoplug
September 13, 2013 02:34AM
Hello there!

I finally got around to setting up my (pink) Pogoplug, using this guide http://wiki.daviddarts.com/Pogoplug and the script from shyd.de it mentions. Only after the debootstrap install aborted (cf. http://pastebin.com/aENKCpcf) did I find some old threads in this forum saying that the script is outdated.

I do not want to brick the plug, so I did not reboot or try anything else. I assume that this http://projects.doozan.com/debian/ would be the guide to use now, right? But can I simply do this with the stuff the other script downloaded still sitting in /tmp? How exactly do I go about now?

Thanks for any input,
Sebastian

Sebastian,

If you have the Pogoplug V2 (pink/gray) and have installed pass the point where uBoot was installed successfully, then have no fear! the worse is that you can use my 3.10.4 rootfs to boot a minimal Debian system and go from there. See this thread.

And yes, debootstrap has been causing lots of problem for people try to install using Jeff'script (wheezy script).

So if you have not rebooted, then try Jeff's squeeze script instead of wheezy. See if it helps.
