Does hd-idle works too good? dockstar falls "asleep"
September 17, 2013 02:13AM
Hello.
Last weekend i updated my both dockstars to DEBIAN WHEEZY and to KERNEL 3.9.5.
On both dockstars debian is installed on 4GB-USB-Sticks.

I did it this way:
upgrade to debian wheezy
Kernelupgrade

Although they were updated the exactt same way, only one of the 2 dockstars works fine.

The other one falls kind of asleep. The orange flashing LED stops flashing (is off) and the USB-LED lights.

I guess it could be the tool hd-idle, because i only installed it on that dockstar.
I did not find anything in the documentation concerning USB-Sticks or the Disk with the OS.

Can anyone help me?

informations:
dockstar with sandisk cruzer 4GB-USB-Stick
debian wheezy
kernel 3.9.5
software: e.g. samba, nfs, hd-idle, logitech mediaserver

logs:
i used busybox syslogd, so i do not have logs now, but i just activated logging to a file (did not understand how to log to the other dockstar), so after the next crash, i hope i can post the logs.
