Pogoplug *PRO* (Black) Debian install?

I've been searching everywhere (including google and these forums) and cannot locate information regarding Debian with this device. Everything seems to be for all the OTHER pogo devices. Does anyone have information regarding how I might install Debian on this? Thanks.

There's a thread on doozan that has a working rootfs file on doozan. Easy as formatting the usb and extracting the rootfs to it to get a working debian install with wireless. Search booting debian on pogoplug pro.

Thanks for the info. I've successfully installed ARCH onto my pogoplug, but can't seem to get debian working with the method in that link. It seems to boot (solid green light) but I cannot ping nor ssh to the unit (while using the debian stick). Any ideas? Thanks!

There are several options to install Debian in that thread! which approach did you take?

Wow, I didn't realize the first two links on that site were actually different! Thanks for pointing that out to me, I got it to work now!

Is it just me, or is it (pogoplug) painfully slow with debian?

In what way it seems slow for you? samba, nfs,…?

Please make sure that you are using the right rootfs which fits to your kernel in the flash!

My rootfs images for OXNAS pogoplug devices fit to:

uname -a
Linux debian 2.6.31.6_SMP_820 #7 SMP Thu Jun 14 20:31:06 CDT 2012 armv6l GNU/Linux

Maybe your performance issues are based on using varkeys rootfs together with the newer ALARM kernel.
