no ip on lan

Hi,
I wish to install debian on my pogoplug E02. Can not find the IP on the network, but the ethernet-led is blinking. Also cannot remember the config i used, several years ago. But it is stock firmware. dhcp or static? I dont know.

Are there ways to find IP?
Possible to install debian without IP?
Possible to factory reset without IP?

I use openwrt as a router. (10.0.0./20)
- no dhcp lease from the pogoplug mac address.
- ive tried arp -a from the router, pogoplug mac not showing.
- tried nmap -sn 10.0.0.0/20, pogoplug not showing
- tried to set my computer to 192.168.1.4/24 and connect it directly to pogoplug, scanning with nmap. Also tried 192.168.0.4/24

Hope someone have tips for me, thanks

magnemann,

Connect serial console and you can see the boot log. See this post in the Wiki thread to see which parts you need to have.

Serial Port connector - what are people using to make it work

- Without network working, you cannot install mainline Debian.
- With serial console working, you can install Debian running my rootfs. See Booting Kirkwood SoC NAS with stock u-boot.
