Linux Kernel 4.4.38 Oxnas (OX820) Pogo V3 package and Raspbian rootfs feasible?

I am using pogo v3 with plx nas7821 cpu. Since Raspbian is armv6 optimized,I hope to use raspbian with Kernel 4.4.38, is it feasible?

I take it back ... not sure it it works. Raspbian might be armv7. Try it :)

I run it with first generation of raspberry with armv6, uname -a shows Linux 4.4.xx...armv6l...I will try.
Does it just tarball the full root tree to a usb disk with ext3 partition?


anther question,since kirkwood is armv5te, nas7821 is arm6l,is rootfs for pogo v4 suitable to pogo pro?

and in the first choice, uImage partition should or shouldnot burn kernel you just mentioned to leave uimage and some concerning file in /boot,I am a little confused:)

No, to reuse your existing rootfs, install the new Oxnas kernel 4.4.38 on it (use the kernel tarball, not the rootfs tarball).

It is perfectly fine to use the Kirkwood rootfs for Pogo V3, just intall the Oxnas kernel while you are running the Kirkwood box. Or you can use a second USB drive that has the Kirkwood rootfs and chroot into it and install the Oxnas kernel.

MTD partitions definition is what you want to make of it. Depending on the purpose. However, the only thing that matters when you intsall new u-boot and run external rootfs using my released u-boot: u-boot partition mtd0. Make sure that mtd0 is set to what required in the installation instruction.
