September 24, 2017 08:56AM
Hello friends,

Kernel 4.12.4 works perfect, but i have problem with Samba. When i copy large files (larger then 1GB) to my Windows 10 notebook, NAS stop responding on ethernet. Ping to/from NAS not working. Restart network process not help. I must restart NAS to work properly again. Does have somebody the same problem?

Thank you, Martin

Martin,

This might be Samba specific problem, as reported here before by other user. I use NFS and had tested copying large files without seeing any problem.

Do you have NFS setup? if you do, try that to make sure.

I think there is some TCP buffering problem somwhere in the Marvell mvneta driver. But need to take time to track it down.
