fdisk -l shows strange problem with mtdblock

Hello!

First and foremost: thank you, Jeff, for your wonderful work! I followed your instructions, and have a wonderful working Linux router now. However: when issuing a fdisk -l, all mtdblocks (mtdblock0, mtdblock2, mtdblock3) are marked as (for example) "Disk /dev/mtdblock0 doesn't contain a valid partition table".

Disk /dev/mtdblock0: 1 MB, 1048576 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 0 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x00000000

Disk /dev/mtdblock0 doesn't contain a valid partition table

Disk /dev/mtdblock2: 33 MB, 33554432 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 4 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x00000000

Disk /dev/mtdblock2 doesn't contain a valid partition table

Disk /dev/mtdblock3: 229 MB, 229638144 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 27 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x00000000

Disk /dev/mtdblock3 doesn't contain a valid partition table
Warning: invalid flag 0x0000 of partition table 5 will be corrected by w(rite)

Disk /dev/sda: 4012 MB, 4012900352 bytes
120 heads, 55 sectors/track, 1187 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 6600 * 512 = 3379200 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x00000000

Is this a sign for a broken unit? Should I buy another one, or is there a chance for repairing the partition table/MBR?

Thank you for your help in advance!

Not sure what the difference is, but when I issue an fdisk -l command, the output contains no reference to mtdblocks at all.

Thank you for your reply, hanker!

Now, that you mention it, I remember not having seen this references to mtdblocks earlier when issuing fdisk -l. Is there a chance to get rid of these? Sorry, if this is a beginner's question - I am not that used to Linux...

I'm not either (all that familiar with linux). Just giving a data point. Maybe someone who knows what they're talking about will chime in :)
