Hello to all WD Ex2 Ultra owners and all other interested parties,
I have a relatively quick question today:
Did you ever actively use the RED Sata LEDs, that are supposed to be on GPIO 43 and 52?
See this excerpt from some device tree adaptations:
sata1-red-led {
label = "wdmcex2u:red:hdd1";
gpios = <&gpio1 11 GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH>;
};
sata2-red-led {
label = "wdmcex2u:red:hdd2";
gpios = <&gpio1 20 GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH>;
I am asking, as I am currently setting up such a system.
But for the life of me, I cannot get the supposed Red LEDs to do anything. Regardless of what I set and what trigger I try, I ddin't yet see a Red LED once.
So, either I am doing something wrong (very possible), or there is something else, that I am missing.
Any input is welcome, as I was preparing to give that system to a colleague and friend. And it would be nice to clear that topic before then. In doubt I'll just disable those two LEDs.
