Not booting into Debian - pogoplug

My pogoplug is not booting from the flash drive anymore. The nc output is as follow:

So I think debian is loaded (or loading?) - but no LEDs, no LMS server, no ssh, no ping.

Any suggestions how I can debug this further?

You need the serial console to see the rest of the messages, connect a serial adaptor and post up the complete console messages.

+1. The mods are not making this shit up when they say a serial console connection is highly advised. I found that out after I "bricked" a V3 Pro and could find no means of recovering it without a console connection. So I finally spent the $6 and bought one and my life has been a heck of lot easier since.

This one works for me:

And make your life easier by getting one of these as the smaller female connector fits into the PP board male connector (see attached picture):

I acutally had one of these cables in my parts bin (had forgotten about it actually) from a computer I had eon's ago. You might have a friend or know of a computer lab somewhere where you could probably find this cable for free.

Note you don't have to use the cdrom cable but you will find the ends of the cables the CP2102 comes with are too thick to fit three together so you will have to use a pin and remove one of the insulators for the middle one. Even then, the connection is finicky. I highly recommend the cdrom cable as it guarantees a good connection.

Also, you can use 1" long cut up thin solid wire to connect the cables that come off of the CP2102 to the header connector on the cdrom cable.

As stated by others above, serial console is indispensible while modding.

If you cannot get a serial console soon enough for whatever reason. Right now, you should:

- Make sure that the kernel file uImage have the DTB embedded inside (retracing your step when you create the rootfs using the instruction in the kernel/rootfs thread)

- Boot, interrupt netconsole, and get a listing of

printenv

I remember that connector must be modified further. The 1st two as a combo is the easiest way. I have this combo for my serial connection thansk to graymanforhire recommendation. Especially that CD-ROM audio cable can be used on the GoFlex Home also.
