Login fails
August 22, 2010 03:08PM
Hello!

After the second try, it works... but the login fails:
I use "root" as password...

mirko@mirko-desktop:~$ ssh 192.168.178.31
mirko@192.168.178.31's password:
Permission denied, please try again.

I think, the IP is correct: "Debian 192.168.178.31" (FritzBox -> LAN)

What is wrong?

Thank you!
Mirko

(Sorry for my bad english)

There is my own answer:

I using Ubuntu (10.04)... "telnet 192.168.178.30" with pogoplug works fine, but via "ssh 192.168.178.31" its does not work.
(via DHCP is a new IP adress)

My last try was reinstall putty... and now: It works!

Thanks for reading...

Try
ssh root@192.168.178.31

Passwrod "root" is for the user "root". So you have to tell your ssh to login as user "root"
