Sorry for this newbie question ...
I just loaded Jeff's Debian-Squeeze install on a USB 1GB stick on my new Dockstar. I plugged in a usb hard drive and mounted it. I can see the drive and list its contents under /mnt.
(Almost looks like I know what I am talking about right?)
I can't see the Dockstar on my network using my Windows laptop or my Linux desktop. I suspect I need to maybe start Samba? Or probably install it first?

#whereis samba
samba:

#apt-get install samba samba-client
asks me if I want to use 98MB of disk to install Samba.
Is that what I want to do, or is there a Samba light version for Debian-Squeeze?

I will really appreciate any help. (be gentle)
Thanks
P
