This system has been abandoned by Cisco and is easily available on ebay for between $11 and $30. It has a Marvell 88F6282 @ 1.6Ghz with 512MB RAM and 512MB NAND Flash. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports, 1 USB slot and an SD Card slot. One of the Ethernet ports supports 802.3af PoE and the Marvell RTC appears to be backed by a battery.
There are two serial ports on board. The one with the header pins attached is problematic, but their are pin holes behind it (with the pin order switched) that allowed me to boot using UART mode from an image included in the Cisco source. The unit I have seems to have acquired some type of malware that when booted tries to download and install an image from what from all indications is a malware site. Therefore I am unable to boot into the stock firmware. Strangely although Cisco's source archive contains the u-boot source code it doesn't contain any kernel source code!!!
I have been able to boot bodhi's Debian 4.4.0 root file system with DTB file embedded in the kernel image. I used the kirkwood-db-88f6282.dtb which doesn't give me access to either network port. There is u-boot source code available for version 1.1.4 which I find confusing as I can't seem to relate it to the source for bodhi's u-boot. So I'm looking for help with two things:
1 - Figuring out where to look in the u-boot 1.1.4 source for the details necessary to update bodhi's u-boot to support this system.
2 - Figuring out a good DTS file for this system.
P.S. I have another unit (NEW IN SEALED FACTORY BOX) bought from ebay for $11 on it's way too me!

I still can't boot the box consistently without intervention. It seems to have something to do with the bootargs environment. Below is a log of a session where booting to Debian root was successful. It took manually entering some commands at u-boot prompt to get there. Note that parsing of environment variables seems to have a bug in that it the set_bootargs environment does not have an '=' between the baudrate and root, but running the script results in an invalid rootargs environment! Also for some reason using scripting to do the usb start causes intermittant failure and if mtdparts is defined in bootargs Debian booting will hang! Since you have it opened, can you tell which ethernet chip is in this box?

Try connect serial from another one of your plugs, and run picocom. OXS screen is just no good.

It seems like a good contender with NSA325 (because 2 gig eth) and it's still cheap enough to buy overseas from the US (as stuff at less than 20 euros don't get any customs, and this means total price of around 10 euro +20 shipping per unit, which is still a big bargain).

haha, it has a SD card slot and a USB port, 2 sata ports (inside) and two eth, one of them supports PoE.
Not bad but I was expecting it to use the pcie line for something.

@O.P. The beauty of this forum and the fact that others on here "have/will have" the same kit is that from personal experience, we all jump in with our findings and the "hack" rolls along nicely.

And I still think your find of the T5325 was the best find here for recent low cost plugs :) this plug from Ray might turn out to be in that class. Of course the best plug of all time is the Dockstar (my first plug), thouroughly hacked here by our proprietor Jeff which got the community rolling.
