hi
i plugged in my yamaha usb speakers and they work. i did have to install alsa.
they get properly recognized in dmesg:

there is a weird crackling noise when playing an mp3 podcast with mpg123
i am not sure if it's an alsa configuration issue or bandwidth?
of course they work fine with my ubuntu box
hope this helps
