Boot stucks at "Starting kernel"

Hi there,

i install Debian on my Dockstar and now i see with netconsole that the boot stucks on "Starting kernel ..."

Nothing is wrong. That's when the kernel starts booting. The kernel isn't configured for netconsole.

Ok, but how long must i wait to get a ping or ssh to the debian?

I wait 10min but i can't ssh or ping on the box.

Ah, i found the problem.

debian give the dockstar a longer mac address and the dhcp assigns a different ip.

Hi,
I've noticed the same behaviour here: i'm experimenting with a dockstar (thanks Jeff for your great work!) in my office where we use a Microsoft DHCP server. In the lease pages i found one lease for the original pogoplug system (with the correct MAC address) and, after installing debian an rebooting, a new IP is assigned because of really long mac address

Does anybody know why this is happening? I think this could give problems to some routers..
