Hello everyone I would install Ubuntu on my DockStar how to thank you?

You're out of luck there. Ubuntu is not available for the armel platform. Only x86.

I think there is support for armel till version 9.04 (or close to this) which practically means that you might miss a lot of security update not mentioning that probably new version of apps will be not released.

Ubuntu compiles against ArmV7 family from 10.04 and on.. 9.10 was armV5 compliant.. and 9.04 is armV4 (kirkwood type let's say so)

so it is recomended to use debian as they still compile for maximum compatibility :)

We have something better than an ISO for the Dockstar, it's Jeff's Debian Install script.

From that point on, just use apt-get as you would with Ubuntu to install everything else you want to use. Debian is better than Ubuntu in the sense that nearly anything you can apt-get on an x86 system is also compiled/available for Armel.
