Pogoplug E02 does not boot
January 02, 2018 06:44AM
Hi
after some tiome I decided to resurrect my Pogoplug E02 but I don't manage to boot it. i had a rescue system on it, so I used a serial console to update the uboot, which has been successful:

U-Boot 2017.07-tld-1 (Sep 05 2017 - 00:13:18 -0700)
Pogo E02

SoC: Kirkwood 88F6281_A0
DRAM: 256 MiB
WARNING: Caches not enabled
NAND: 128 MiB
In: serial
Out: serial
Err: serial
Net: egiga0

The flash drive is formated as required:

root@mm-server:~/boodhi# fdisk -l /dev/sde

Disk /dev/sde: 15.4 GB, 15376000000 bytes
45 heads, 18 sectors/track, 37075 cylinders, total 30031250 sectors
Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x00000000

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System

root@mm-server:~/boodhi#

and the newest debian is extracted on the drive as in the description, and the step 4 ("Create uImage with embedded DTB") I skipped as I am using the bewest U-Boot.

But I get the following output:

Any suggestions on how I can proceed?

Re: Pogoplug E02 does not boot

Stupid me - I used /boot/kirkwood-pogo_e02.dtb instead of /boot/dts/kirkwood-pogo_e02.dtb

I copied the file to /boot and it is booting now.

Changed it to

fw_setenv dtb_file '/boot/dts/kirkwood-pogo_e02.dtb'

Now to install the rescue system.

Thanks,

Rainer
