Complete back-up 'how to'?

Understanding the limitations of my knowledge on Linux, is there a How-To on doing a COMPLETE backup of a Pogoplug? I got one of the Buy.com $50 (Pogo-B02) [info attached] and before I go hosing myself I want to get a copy of the current file system, memory, etc. off-line as a CYA.:)

Appreciate the hints/tricks so far
