Ralink 5370 USB WIFI Dongle issues on Dockstar

Hi,
wanted to use a USB Wifi Dongle with the Dockstar (dont want to drill holes where the Dockstar should be placed).
But i cant get a Driver to be loaded:
http://wiki.debian.org/rt2800usb relates to rt2870sta because im using squeeze

Did you install the firmware? If so, which one?

i installed the firmware-ralink from the non-free backport repo. (like mentioned in the debia wiki link above)
The 148F:5370 Ralink Technology is supported. (well i just see its for the 3.X kernel :/ )

unfortunately the ralink page http://www.ralinktech.com/ is down.

i tried to compile the driver myself like in this howto: http://harkko.lattu.biz/notes/rt5370_ubuntu.html
but i just get an error: unknown relocation: 3

Well, FWIW, I gave up on using Squeeze. I use Wheezy and it's 3.1.x kernel on my access pt. Any chance the 3.1.x kernel would work better for you?

Well, i just used this howto: http://jeff.doozan.com/debian/ for setting up the debian on dockstar. i didnt find one for a newer kernel so far. but i would give it a go if there would be some howto around.

I think that driver for your chipset is supported since kernel 2.6.32-10. You may consider updating your kernel since you are running 2.6.32-5.

I finally managed it!
First i tried the hint with a new Kernelpackage. I used the Kernel from gorgone ( http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,582,3451#msg-3451 ) but that didnt help.

Then i made a fresh install and upgraded to Wheezy by changing the sources.list . now i am on

uname -a
Linux debian 3.1.0-1-kirkwood #1 Mon Dec 12 15:32:52 UTC 2011 armv5tel GNU/Linux

and i followed the instructions from the debian wiki and the wifi works: http://wiki.debian.org/rt2800usb
