cannot reset port

My Dockstar no longer recognizes my wifi adapter (zd1211).

In the beginning everything worked. Then I didnt need wireless for a short time. Now I wanted to use the wifi adapter again.

The Dockstar freezes. I still can ping it, but I cant access it. Also the Dockstar doesnt boot if the adapter is connected. On other PCs the adapter works.

I tried different kernels with Debian. No success.
Currently I'm using Gentoo with kernel 3.0.6. No success.

I dont think there is a problem with the kernel. As I remember, I only changed the arcNumber. Can this be the problem?

I also tried 'usb reset' manually with connected wifi adapater:
