usb drive lights up permanently

Hi,

i made a fresh install with the Debian-4.12.1-kirkwood-tld-1-rootfs-bodhi on a ext3 USB memory drive.

all is fine after the first boot on my Dockstar
but the led from USB drive is permanently flashing, it never stops

iotop says there is no traffic

where can i see what the reason for the

Check what your LED triggers look like

ls -l /sys/class/leds/*

and for example, to check individual trigger. See if any of the trigger was turned on

cat /sys/class/leds/status\:green\:health/trigger

It's his USB drive's LED, not dockstar's LED. His USB drive was the RFS, it is accessed often and it will flash often.

Another reason not to use USB flash drive as RFS for long term.

Try using a different USB thumb drive (such as Sandisk).
