UPS on Serial Port

I have a APC Back-UPS witch serial port.
How can i connect it to serial Port from Dockstar?

I user mdadm on Debian and wich to use:

Package: apcupsd
Description: A daemon for controlling APC UPSes

Package: apcupsd-cgi
Description: A daemon for controlling APC UPSes, web interface

Did you tried to find Serial port to USB converter ?

Even if yours has a serial port, if the plug that the cable connects to looks similar to an ethernet jack, I'd consider buying a USB cable for that instead... Chances are you have one of the combo serial/usb jacks that are on all the modern (within the last 10 years I would guess) APC UPSes. UPS monitoring works great on debian, just that with the Dockstar, going straight in via UPS would be a lot less problematic than using a dongle to emulate serial. (Probably cheaper, too, to get the APC compatible USB cable instead of a serial dongle.)
