Ix4-200d and kernel above 4.10.9 problem

I all, i want to upgrade my kernel on my Iomega ix4-200d, but for the moment any kernel above 4.10.9 won't boot.
I've made some test and the only two things I think problematic might be:
A different configuration parameter after 4.10.9
Or a question of size, because 4.10.9 is 3.3MB and 4.11.3 is more than 3.7MB.

I of course used the kernels provided on the forum by bohdi.
I just used the preparation with DTB file embedded.

This is the first log i have with a non working kernel.

The load address for uInitrd when booting with stock u-boot is slight different in kernel 4.10 +.

The uInitrd needs to be loaded further out, at 0x02100000.

Also, if you had earlyprintk=serial in bootargs, you should have seen more output. This is the case where stock uboot does not relocate the images correctly.

If you are not sure how to adjust the u-boot envs, interrupt serial console and get the list of envs and post here:

Check your MTD parts definition. If you have a copy of the stock uboot variables they should give an idea of whether yours are right.

I've not seen an updated uboot for the Iomega \ Lenovo boxes, mostly due to the lack of UART booting making testing very risky. If you find one and it works let us know!

It is often very useful in debugging booting problem, but not necessary otherwise.

I don't think there is one. It is time consuming (for Kirkwood boxes that I don't own) to roll new u-boot, so I can only do that when I have a lot of free time.

J might be right above, it might have something to do with your mtdparts and also /etc/fw_env.config file.

To troubleshoot this problem. Power up, interrupt serial console,

printenv
boot

Let it boot into Debian, and
cat /proc/mtd
cat /etc/fw_env.config
ls -l /dev/mtd*

And post the entire serial boot log (from power up) here.

Everything looks normal, except for this scanning error.

Let's see if this error was because of the DTS defintion, or other settings.

1. Is this the fw_env.config definition from stock?

cat /etc/fw_env.config

2. List the envs in Debian to see if you can

fw_printenv

3. Try to run blkid to see if the error occur
