debootstrap deleted :-( help
November 13, 2012 12:16PM
I have deleted the /usr/share/debootstrap with this
rm -R -f /usr/share/debootstrap
, now I can not install wheezy on my USB-Stick.

When I try it, I get this message:
# Starting debootstrap installation
/usr/sbin/debootstrap: line 22: /usr/share/debootstrap/functions: No such file or directory
debootstrap failed.
See /tmp/debian/debootstrap/debootstrap.log for more information.

The device is on, I habe not try to reboot it. What can I do?

Try this: read my signature... below... look in the links for a bootable USB image.

Download that and cp the file(s) you need. Just an idea.

@davygravy: Thanks a lot

While I try to install Wheezy I get the following messages:

When I try to look in the Log-File of debootstrap I get this:

Pogoplug:/tmp$ cat /tmp/debian/debootstrap/debootstrap.log
cat: can't open '/tmp/debian/debootstrap/debootstrap.log': No such file or directory

debootstrap is located in /usr/sbin/debootstrap
