[NSA310S] 2017.07 U-Boot Kirkwood Boot ZyxelOS NAND?

Posted by ianco
Hello everyone!
Having updated Uboot Stock with 2017.07 U-Boot Kirkwood on Zyxel NSA310S and can safely boot to Debian.
I wanted to try to boot ZyxelOS from Nand using the same parameters as Uboot Stock, but I get stuck on:
""......... done, booting the kernel."
and nothing more.

Do you have any suggestions?

ianco,

I have not tried to investigate this, because stock OS is not good for any thing other than a rescue system.

If you want to have a rescue system on NAND, you could use OpenWrt. The Wiki thread:

Rescue Systems

Rescue System V2 (Original)
MacPlug & SMBPLug
Rescue System Pogo V3
Rescue System V4, using a custom LEDE firmware (BETA)
Rescue System for Pogo E02 using LEDE/OpenWrt (Install with Serial Console)
Rescue System for Pogo V4/Mobile using OpenWrt (Install with NetConsole)

If you want I can help as a tester to investigate. you tell me what to do and I execute.
in the meantime I tried to set "setenv mainlineLinux no" but nothing has changed.

...meanwhile I would like to report a typing bug that I found in "bootcmd_exec". This bug occurs when NSA310S is booted without USB and HDD:

That typo is already on my todo list when I release the next version (it does not effect much since the envs image is installed seperately). But thanks!

ATM, I have no time to look into this stock OS booting subject. It's at the bottom of my priority list of things to do.
