Enable SSH Access not found in the Settings page (Pogoplug V4-A1-01)

Hi,

Just received my Pogo today and have successfully activated it. But in the settings page, I do not see the "Enable SSH Access" option.
Anyone knows why? Is there any other way to enable it? I tried to SSH and Telnet to it but I just get a "Connection Refused" error.

TIA

You cant from their interface any more.
You will need a serial cable to connect to as described:

The backdoor way does not work anymore because you would have to enable SSH at their website. So serial console seems to be the only way.

See this Wiki thread section for what/where to buy parts:

Long ago, I received some free LaFonera FON2100 WiFi routers and they no longer serve as a WiFi router. So, I converted some of them to a serial console device using a self-built OpenWRT to troubleshoot all my Linux embedded devices and it worked sans a problem, too. These days, I have used this inexpensive PL2303HX module to troubleshoot all my Linux embedded devices, i.e. Seagate GoFLEX Home/NET and PogoPlug Pro 02, etc., sans any problems.

For a JTAG, perhaps this inexpensive Altera Mini Usb Blaster Cable For CPLD FPGA NIOS JTAG Altera Programmer may not be a bad investment.

Get a cheap ca-42 cable on ebay, cut it, test the cable, DON'T JUDGE BY COLOR.
