I can't remember if I changed the root password for Debian on my GoFlexHome dock... In any case I can't login. Is there a root password I can try or can how can I reset it?

Try root as password (that's the default password if you have not changed it).

If that failed, you need to mount the USB rootfs (or use a USB HDD dock if the rootfs is on HDD) to another Linux box. And then as root user, remove the root password in the /etc/shadow file.

You can also copy and paste the password hash for root password from another Linux box in the /etc/shadow file. And use it to login to the GFHome after booting.

Many thanks. That worked.
