This env is wrong:

dtb_file=/mnt/boot/dts/kirkwood-nsa325.dtb
It should be
dtb_file=/boot/dts/kirkwood-nsa325.dtb

Should I move the file into the Nas memory?

EDIT:
maybe i've understood: i should hint that parameter to /boot/.... cause my sata should be mounted as root, right?

Your u-boot envs were already set up to do that.

1. Reboot with only the USB rootfs to see the progress.
2. After it works well, plug the HDDs back in and boot with the full system.

Carlo,

Power up, interrupt serial console and

printenv
boot

Please post the entire serial bootlog, from u-boot banner to the last thing you see on the screen.

Carlo,

Everything looks great! except the mtdparts.

Still set to the default value:
mtdparts=mtdparts=orion_nand:1M(u-boot),4M(uImage),32M(rootfs),-(data)

Set it to the NSA325 value:
fw_setenv mtdparts 'mtdparts=orion_nand:0x100000(uboot),0x80000(uboot_env),0x80000(key_store),0x80000(info),0xA00000(etc),0xA00000(kernel_1),0x2FC0000(rootfs1),0xA00000(kernel_2),0x2FC0000(rootfs2)'

Carlo,

Sorry I forgot this thread for a while :)

You are all ready to install packages to do what you want to do!

For the Power button and other butoons, use esekeyd:

Yes, start update your system to the latest from Debian repo.

Sure. And remember to regenerate SSH key now to make this box your own.

when i linked back through ssh terminal warned me that there was already a key associated with that ip, and suggested me a command to erase that, and now i'm connecting with no problem: did you mean that?

Yes. With the new rootfs that you create, you should always generate a new SSH key. That way, it becomes your own unique rootfs.

On another PC connecting SSH, an old key might have been saved before for this MAC address in your PC SSH session. So just accepting the new key would be OK. Or better yet, remove the old key from you PC SSH session (ie. command to erase that) and then connect, accept new key.

From now on, it is safe to even have SSH tunnel away from home (with the tunnel, should disable root login and use key only).

Hello,
I'm trying to put Debian on my NSA325v2 but I'm stooped in this message
"BusyBox v1.20.2 (Debian 1:1.20.0-7) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
(initramfs) "

Can you help me please?

Thanks.

Please post the entire serial boot log here (from u-boot banner until the initramfs prompt above).
